Diagnostic imaging

At our animal hospital, X-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging examinations can be performed on the patient.

If necessary, all diagnostic imaging can also be performed during on-call hours.

X-ray examination is widely used in orthopedic examinations and internal medicine examinations.
In orthopedics, X-ray examination is used for bone and joint examinations.
In internal medicine, the examination most typically examines the abdominal and chest cavity.

For the best examination results, the patient is often examined under sedation.

Ultrasound examination is the most used form of diagnostic imaging in the department of internal medicine and cardiology.

The most typical objects to be studied are the organs of the abdominal cavity and the heart. The ophthalmology department also conducts ultrasound examinations of the eye, and our orthopedists use the examination, if necessary, for examinations of the musculoskeletal system.

For the best examination results, the patient is often examined under sedation, with the exception of heart examinations.

Computed tomography examination is widely used in the Department of Orthopedics and Internal Medicine, but all other Departments also use this possibility.

The most typical imaging targets are the musculoskeletal system, ears, and the nasal, chest and abdominal cavity.

If necessary, we ask the radiologist for an opinion on computed tomography images.

For the best examination results, the patient is examined sedated or sedated.

Magnetic resonance imaging is used almost exclusively in the department of neurology.

Typically, the examination is used for brain and back examinations.

For the best examination results, the patient is examined under anesthesia.
